Hello, Akwaaba, Hello, I am the art doll for Odo children’s book. How nice that I’m finally with you. My name is Odo. Odo comes from the Twi language. It is spoken in Ghana (West Africa – Twi spelling: Ɔdɔ) and means LOVE. My second name is Akua. Because I was created on a Wednesday. Take a look at the list in the package to find out which Ghanaian / Akan first name you have. You are then welcome to write the name on the yellow rectangle of my clothing with a fabric pen. They say about us: “The beautiful Odo art dolls, manufactured under fair conditions, show ethnic diversity in a wonderful and playful way.” Manufacture: I was made in Spain, Alicante. I saw the light of day in a small studio owned by two great ladies. The patterned fabric for my clothing is called Kente and comes from Ghana. It is 100% cotton. My hair is made of acrylic wool and my beautiful, brown skin (fabric) is made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. The rest of my clothes are made of polyester and my contents are made of acrylic wool. I have several sisters and even a brother. And all of us look unique. We may look similar, but as we are all handmade, each one of us is UNIQUE! That’s why it’s right to say that we are artificial dolls! I hope we have a lot of fun together. Oh, and my rucksack is also made from Kente fabric and is of course also 100% cotton. Of course you can wash my clothes and rucksack. But I definitely don’t want to be combed and washed. Combing my hair is always so tuggy and ruins my hair. My hair band is fixed in place so that it could also be carefully removed. But simply leaving it as bought naturally protects my hair. Have fun and best regards, Odo
