Dayan Kodua is an actress, speaker, author and founder of Gratitude Publishing. Born in Ghana and raised in Kiel, Dayan followed her heart after graduating as a business assistant and studied acting in Berlin and Los Angeles. In addition to her work as an actress and speaker, she is committed to empowering people of color and making them more visible as role models. It is particularly important to Dayan to make children aware of their inner strength. She devotes herself to this topic, among other things: in her picture book “Odo”, published in 2019. At the same time, she uses it, as well as the accompanying black doll and a matching puzzle, to promote more diversity in society. Dayan is currently working on the sequel to her illustrated book, which will be published in autumn 2021 under the title “My Black Skin: Hero’s Journey”. With Gratitude Publishing, she wants to give other authors the opportunity to present their “diverse” stories to the public. Dayan lives with her family in Hamburg.

Robby Krüger was born in Herford, East Westphalia, in 1969. After studying at the art college in Bielefeld, she moved to Berlin to work on her first projects in the creative metropolis. After a short time in Berlin, she focused on two creative areas: interior design and illustration. In her large Berlin studio, she plans room concepts as part of her company “Vision 23” and designs and creates small and large individual pieces for her projects. Orders came and continue to come not only from within the country, but also from the USA, England and Southeast Asia, for example. The field of illustration has developed very successfully in the last 5 years and she has already been able to work on some exciting projects, e.g. a planned American animation series, a 5-volume fantasy book series, the first part of which will be published this year and of course the first part of “Odo”. Her love for illustration grew stronger over time and is now the focus of her creative work. She is currently working on her first children’s book, which is scheduled to be published in 2022.
